The Strong Interest Inventory Survey measures a candidate’s interests and similarities compared to members of several different occupations. The graphic is a summary of my actual results of the exam taken in September of 2012.
The number represents the strength of my similarities compared to women in specific occupations. The higher the score, the more likes and dislikes I share with individuals in those categories.

PROJECT SPECS: Design a booklet spread that conveys the “story” of your apartment. Consider the history of the space and how it is used today.
DESCRIPTION: The apartment in which I live has been home to four generations of my family. The color scheme and fonts used are inspired by stationery owned by my maternal grandparents who lived in the apartment over fifty years ago.

DESCRIPTION: The unit shown is academic research project and travels throughout New York City and parks in various neighborhoods.

PROJECT SPECS: Convert the now abandoned MacCarren Park Recreational Center into a functioning physical therapy center. Draw inspiration from the site’s origins as a public health center.
DESCRIPTION: The renovation of mccarren park into a rehabilitation center takes into consideration the pool’s history as a public recreational center. The rehab center designed creates semi-public/semi-private recreational areas viewable and accessible from each patient room. Visitors and patients have an opportunity to escape their isolated rooms and enter an area of social interaction and engagement, an important component in the healing process proven by evidence based design research studies.

PROJECT SPECS: Within a 4500sf area, layout and organize a lounge area as well as an office space for Ketel One Vodka. Consider the analytical challanges of using the same space both during the day and at night.
DESCRIPTION: Ketel One is both a traditional and a modern brand. the nolet family uses a 300-year-old recipe to create Ketel One Vodka, yet it appeals to a modern, fashionable and young market. the rennovated space represents the duality of the Ketel One drinker: the responsible professional and the social maven. While the office and lounge are separated, there are multiple opportunities of interaction between the two, creating a new experience with every visit.Architecture, Interior Design2012 -
PROJECT SPECS: Design a furniture unit inspired by the physical appearance of typerwriter. the piece must have an audio component and be able to interact with its user[s].
DESCRIPTION: The Equalizer Seat is an interactive sound equalizer as well as a functioning furniture unit. Amplification of sound is determined by the position of the back speakers and the seated position of the user[s], resulting in multiple diverse visual and audio experience.

Typewriters were designed originally as stand-alone utilitarian objects and eventually became the model for computer/tablet keyboards and cellular phone keypads. The typewriter gallery becomes more interactive from beginning to end, just as typewriters have over time. controls built into the space dictate the lighting located in the back of the gallery [at right]. Guests that enter the space become active rather than passive visitors.
